and she having put a five Cloaths and other things
into a Box which stood near the Bed, her Husband
took it up Stairs without waiting to Put on any
of his Cloaths, and this Informant follow'd him
almost instantly, That when she got up
Stairs she found Clary in the Parlour seemingly
unconcernd', and as she thirty with his hands
in his Breeches Pockets desiring Mrs Gumbart
to put in her Cloaths and not to frighten herself
but without attempting to get out any of his Property
That this Informant and her Husband have lodged in Clary's
House about ten weeks in the whole but that Clary never
had muck property in his [..] Shop, his Stock consisting
only of a few Coats Waistcoats & other Articles of Wearing
apparel of a very ordinary kind which never appeared to be
changed, but were nearly the same when this Informant first
knew the Shop as they were on the Saturday before the Fire happened
That this Informant never observed any Pieces of Cloth or Silk
in Clary's Shop which she thinks she must have seen if there
had been any as she was very frequently in the Shop That she
always considered Clary as a very trifling Dealer & was after
surprised how he could live never saw any Plate in
Clary's House except three Tea Spoons & believes he had no more
