The Information of Charles Stringer< no role > Thomas
Cattorell
< no role > and William Brewster< no role > taken before
me this 3rd: day of January 1781.

Who being on Oath say and first said Charles Stringer< no role > says that
on Sunday night the 3rd. of December last this Informant being at
the Lamb Alehouse in Lambs conduit Street between 7 and 8 o'Clock
he observed two Men on horseback at the door. [..] who wanted
a Light to pick up some Money they had chopped; which was
returned by this Informants. That this Informant the Landlord the
said Thomas Catterell< no role > and another Man agreed to Conduct a Mrs
Allam across the Fields to her house near the Boot That
after they had just entered the first field two Men came up
to them on horseback one of whom fired a Pistol at this
Informant without saying a Word that upon this Informants
turning round the other fired another Pistol at this Informant
and wounded him in the Right Arm. That upon this Informant
crying out that he was shot one of the Men on horseback
asked him Are you shot you Begger"and on this Informant repling that he was shot in his right
Arm her replied "Go down on your knees you Bugger and beg your
Life" that upon this Informants falling on his Knees and
begging his Life One of the said Men beat him very much
with a Whip and then both rode off through lamb conduct
Street And this Informant further says he doth verily believe
and Suspect that two Persons now present who call themselves
Henry King< no role > and Joseph Lulliman are the said two Men
whom fired at this Informant as aforesaid And the said
Thomas Catterell< no role > for himself says that he was in company
with the said Charles Stringer< no role > at this time and saw them both
fire, that he pursued them up Lambs conduit Street with
