The Information of William Foster< no role > , Joseph Allen< no role > [..]
Mathew Clark, Brook Crippin< no role > Thomas Crippin< no role > and Percival Philips< no role >
taken before me this 13th. day of January 1781

Who being upon Oath say, and first said William
Foster
< no role > says, that two Coats a pair of Breecher a Waistcoat two
Handkerchiefs a Dressing Gown and a pair of plated Shoe Buckles
now produced, on his property and were stolen this day out
of his Lodging Room in the House of Thomas Crippin< no role > of
Little Russell Street Drury Lane -The said Mathew Clark< no role > says
that he watched [..] two persons now present who call themselves
George Townsend< no role > and Joseph Edwards< no role > this day-That he saw said
George Townsend< no role > with a Bundle under his Arm came from out of the house of the said Thomas
Crippin
< no role > (from where the above Articles were stolen) and that
the said Joseph Edwards< no role > was standing near said House-That
Suspecting they had robbed the house, he applied to said Joseph
Allen
< no role > , and desired him to follow them-The said Joseph Allen< no role >
says that he followed then and apprehended said Townsend
on whom be found the said two Coats, the pair of Breeches Waistcoat
Handkerchiefs, and Gown now produced and sworn to by the
said William Foster< no role > -The said Brook Crippin says, that on the
said George Townsend< no role > and Joseph Edwards< no role > being apprehended and
brought back to the Lodging of the said William Foster< no role > he searched
him and found in the right hand pocket of his Waistcoat
the plated Buckles now produced, and is very sure that
he saw said Townsend drop from out of his Breeches
in said Room the said two Handkerchiefs now produced
the said Thomas Crippin< no role > for himself says that he is very sure
a pair of Silver Sugar Tongs now produced on his property
