The Information of Hannah Gladwin< no role >
Richard Parish< no role > and James Ashman< no role > taken
before me this 1st. day of Janry. 1781.

Who being on Oath say and first said Hannah Gladwin< no role > says
that two pair of Sheets now produced are her property and were
stolen in her house on Tuesday last was sevenight and on
Saturday last That a Prison now present who calls herself
Elizabeth Cartwright< no role > was her Servant and was discharged
from her Service on Sunday was seven night. That on Saturday
night last about ½ past 8 o'Clock being alarmed by one of her
Lodgers "that there were Thieves in her house" she caused in
to be Examined, when said Elizabeth Cartwright< no role > was found con-
cealed therein and at the bottom of the upper Stairs she found
one pair of the Sheets now produced which had been just
taken off one of her beds. And said Richard Parish< no role > says
that on hearing the Alarm, he assisted in examining the
House, and behind a Chimney of Mrs. Gladwin's house the said
Elizabeth Cartwright< no role > had concealed herself and was afterwards
secured on the top of a House adjoining And said James
Ashman
< no role > says that the pair of Sheets now produced by him
were pawned with him on the 26th. of December last by
the said Elizabeth Cartwright< no role > for three Shillings.
