Middlesex to Weet

The Informantion of Charles Basley< no role >
taken before us two of His Majestys
Justices of the Peace for this County
who being when Oath saith that on or about
the Monday or Tuesday last week this
Deponent was in the Shop & Mr. Mercer
for whom he works as a Jewellers where
he saw a person known by the Names
Captain Jones who then he spoke shirt of
Buckle of Mr Mercy immediately after the
Captain had left the Shopthe defendents
Francis Henry< no role > Hey expressed a Desire that his
Uncle would deliver the Buckle himself when the Uncle
desired to Know the reason the said Francis say'd that
his Uncle might probably get the Capitan's Business
Upon which the Uncle say's that that was Frank's
Customer then the Uncle went out of the Shop the said
Francis then told this Informant that he wished he might
not be sent home with the Buckle this Informant
asked him why? to which he answered the he did
not like itthis Informt. asked him why he did
not like to go to a person who always gave him Money
the Lad being [..] lent he repeated the Questions two or
three himself & insisted upon knowing his reason and
the said Francis Sayd he was [..] shamed which made
this Informt. more desirous of knowing what was the
reason & at last the sd. Francis sayd he would tell
him if he would promise that he would not tell it
to his Uncle & upon this Informt promising that
he would not tell his Uncle Upon which the said
Francis told him that the Captain had hurt him
this Informt. asked him how & upon the Boy's pausing
some little time say'd that the Captain hadtaken
in his Lodging taken him upon his knee & Unbuttoned
his Breeches & tho sd: Jones had also Unbuttoned his
own Breeches that he had hurt him with his Yard
And upon this Informant asking the Lad where upon
which the said Frances sayd that he was as ashamed to tell
