Mr. Deputy Hebert was then put in Nomination
for one of the Common Council. But Mr. Hebert
return'd the Gentlemen Thanks, and acquainted them
that having lost his Partner, he had not time to apply
himself to the Duties of the place , and therefore
desired to be excused.

Mr. William Lem< no role > , Mr. John Reynolds< no role > , and Mr.
Peter Pope< no role > were severally nominated, and ordered
to be Returned to the Wardmote for Common Council
Men for the year ensuing.

Then Mr. Church Warden Greeton adjourn'd the
Meeting till another Summons should be sent out.

Gift

Sacrament Money


Mr. Church Warden Gretton acquainted the Gentlemen
Present that he had receiv'd two Petitions for Alderman
Anthony Abdy< no role > 's Gift of Five Pounds, to wit, from
John Iselton< no role > , and Frances Smith< no role > Widow Two poor
Householders of this Parish. And the Circumstances
of the said Petitioners being thereupon taken into
Consideration, It was Ordered, that the Five Pounds
be given to the said Frances Smith< no role > . The Remainder
of the said Alderman Abdy's Gift being Fifty shillings
together with Fifty Shillings Sacrament Money was
distributed, as follows.
