Fine for
Ward offices

So much of the Minutes of the last Precinct
Meeting as related to Raising the Fine for Ward Offices
from Fourteen to Twenty Pounds was read, And after
some Debate held thereon, Mr. Peter Pope< no role > moved, That
the Order made at the last Precinct Meeting of the 13th.
December 1769 for raising the Ward Fine as aforesaid be
now Revoked, and being seconded by Mr. Chesson , the
Question was put and carried in the Affirmative.

Ordered that the Order of the last Precinct
Meeting for Raising the Fine for Ward Offices to Twenty
Pounds be now Revoked and that the Fine for Ward Offices
continue as before at Fourteen Pounds only.

Then Mr. Church Warden Gretton proceeded to the
Election of Ward Officers for the Year ensuing.

Constables
Inquest men

Mr. John Jeffery< no role > stood first upon the List for
Constable and Inquest Man, but was Excused for one
Year, on Account of his Illness; upon the Motion of Mr.
Richard James< no role > This name instance is in set 2783. .

Mr. Stephen Line< no role > was next in Rotation, but was
also excus'd for one year, being Lame and ill with the Gout
Upon the Motion of Deputy Hebert.

Then Mr. John Colebrooke< no role > , and Mr. William Weight< no role >
were severally put up to serve the Offices of Constable
and Inquest Man for the year ensuing and Chose.
