Continued Thursday 18th. July 1793 .

And the Committee had Ordered that Mr. Lewis the Surveyor be desired to
employ a person as Clerk of the works to inspect the execution of the said repairs
and to see that the same be done pursuant to the above Contract.

And Ordered that the Surveyor do prepare a plan for the repairs and improvement
of the several Privies with additional ones in the upper Apartments if such should
appear to him to be necessary and lay the same before the Committee with an
Estimate of the expence

And Ordered that the Surveyor do take an Inventory of the Furniture and
other articles purchased for the Matron and now become the property of the Hospital
and that the same be entered in the Book of Schedules.

And Ordered that Sarah Sandcock< no role > a Patient in the Hospital being a Parishoner
of the Parish of Shorne in the County of Kent be continued in the Hospital and put
upon the Incurable list agreeably to the Will and at the request of the Executors
of John Baynard< no role > deceased .

The Minutes of the Prison Committee of the 20th. June last and the 4th. and 10th.
July Instant were read and confirmed whereby it appeared.

That the Committee having taken into further consideration the referrence from the
General Court of the 8th May last and several propositions being made

Had Ordered that copies of the same be sent to each Member of the Committee

And Ordered that Thomas Allam< no role > have notice to quit his Apartments on or
before the 4th August next he not having been re-elected an Artsmaster.

And Ordered that the Clerk do write to John Pitt< no role > Esqr . to request the favor of him
to purchase and send up to the Hospital one dress compleat for a Male and one
for a female Prisoner such as are worn by the Prisoners in the Gloucester House of
correction together with the price thereof and at the same time requesting him to give
his opinion whether they are suited for the Prisoners in this House and whether he
can recommend any improvement in the same.

Pursuant to Notice given at the last Court

The following Motion was then made

Auditor Genl. to be
on all Committees


"That Henry Cranke< no role > Esqr . be (as heretofore) upon all Committees so long as he shall
"continued in the Office of Auditor General"

And at this Court the said Motion was unanimously agreed to.

Lewis Jas< no role > . Esqr . Resigned
Office of Govr.


At this Court James Lewis< no role > Esqr . (having been lately elected Surveyor ) begged leave to
resign his Office of Governor of these Hospitals in pursuance of the 10th. standing Rule and
Order

Ordered that such resignation be now accepted.
