The Minutes of the last Court were read and confirmed.

The Minutes of the Bethlem Committee of the 4th. July Instant were read
and confirmed whereby it appeared that after proper Advertizements they had
contracted with John Raban< no role > for 100 Chaldrons of Montague Main Coals at
40 Shillings and 6 pence per Chaldrons.

And the Committee having met to contract for some considerable repairs wanted
to the Hospital pursuant to an Order of Court

Were of Opinion that the Contract should be made for the whole work mentioned
in the Surveyors particular to be done and compleated in a period not exceeding 4
Months and

Resolved that in the present advanced season of the year it would be adviseable
to contract with one person for the whole work.

And the Committee adjourned to the 8th. Instant

The Minutes of the Bethlem Committee of the 8th. July were read and confirmed
whereby it appeared that the Committee having met pursuant to adjournment received
proposals from several persons for performing the whole work mentioned in the Surveyors
particular

Whereupon the Committee accepted the proposal of Messrs. Poynder and Statford for
the whole of the said repairs to be done agreeably to the said Particular for the sum of
£600 the same to be compleated within 3 Months and they were to give security
for the due performance of the said Contract by a joint and seperate Bond to be
entered into by them and two persons to be approved by the Committee in the penalty
of £500
