Continued Thursday 29th. November 1792 .

And at this Court they were ordered to be enquired after accordingly

Lincolnshire
Bailiff to be elected.


And upon Motion it was resolved by the Court that at the next General Court there should
be elected a Bailiff of the Lincolnshire Estate with a Salary of £30 a year Etc as
recommended by the House Committee the 5th September last notice of such intended
Election to be inserted in the Summonses and that Mr. Bourne and Mr. Emmitt be
informed thereof as well as that the late Office of Lincolnshire receiver is changed for
that of Bailiff.

The following Gentlemen were then severally put in Nomination pursuant to the recommendation
of the House Committee and were each unanimously elected Governors Vizt. John Roebuck< no role >
Esqr. George Godwin< no role > Esqr. John Hodgson Durand< no role > Esqr. William Pitt< no role > Esqr Doctor
William Austin< no role > and John Meyrick< no role > Esqr. and afterwards the charge was read to
John Roebuck< no role > Esqr. George Godwin< no role > Esqr. and John Farrer< no role > Esqr. as Governors of these
Hospitals.

The several Minutes of the Prison Committee of the 27th. July the 8th August the 12th September
the 10th. October the 14th. November and the 28th November were then read whereby it
appeared that the Committee had transacted the following business

That the Committee had given orders to the Surveyor and Steward to take an inventory
of all Fixtures Utensils and Implements belonging to the Prisons and Hemp
Dresses Apartments which had been complied with.

That they had ordered the Clerk to make copies of all the rules and orders respecting
the Artsmasters Apprentices and Prisoners and their employments.

That they had requested Mr Sharp to furnish the Clerk with a List of such Books as
he thought would give the Committee any desireable information respecting the
management of Prisoners and Paupers and their employment and ordered the Clerk
to procure the same which had been done

That they had ordered the Clerk to apply in the name of the Committee to the Town Clerk
of the City of London and to the Clerk of Saint Thomas's Hospital for extracts
from their Court Books of such rules and orders as respect the management of
Prisoners and Pauper Patients.

That they had ordered the Steward to procure the several Orders respecting Prisons as
directed by Act of Parliament and have them properly printed and hung up in the
Prisons which has since been done.

And that the Committee having taken notice of an Act of the last Session of Parliament
respecting Rogues and Vagabonds had ordered that in confermity to the said Act
the correction of the House be not inflicted upon any Female Prisoner so committed in
future.

That John Hardwick< no role > the Hemp Dresser had attended the Committee and had resigned his
place which they had accepted and had ordered his Salary to be paid to Michas last.

That in consequence of public Advertizement the Petitions of 14 several persons had been read
for the place of Taskmaster and of superintending the Prisons.
