Continued Thursday 13th Novr. 1755

5thThat the Beadles particularly he in waiting) & Portersman shall
take Care that the Apprentices or any others do not Comitte Disorders in the
HospitalAnd shall not Suffer any Neighbouring Children or Servants to Play
within the HospitalAll which is Nevertheless Submitted to the Judgement
of the CourtThis Court haveing duly Weighed and Consider'd the said Report
doth Confirm the same And Order that the before mentioned Orders and
Regulations be forthwith Printed and hung up in each Artsmaster Shop And in the
Lobby, Court Room and Dineing room of this Hospital.

Then Alban Loman< no role > (Apprentice to Keil) John Phillips< no role > & Thos. Pallant< no role > This name instance is in set 25282529.
(Apprentices to Morlier) were Corrected in the presence of the rest of the Apprentices
And Ordered to be Stript and Turned out of the House.

Then Thomas Presly< no role > (Apprentice to Male) was Corrected in the presence
of the rest of the Apprentices and afterwards repremanded by Mr. President
and sent home to his Master.

And the other 8 Apprentices who had been sent by the Comittee to the
Hempblocks were Repremanded by Mr. President & sent home to their resptive Masters

And upon Reading The Report of the Comittee of this House dated the sd.
11th. of this Instant November That Robert Hadwen< no role > Tailor being called in
behaved himself very Disrespectfully Towards the President and Comittee
which is submitted to the CourtAnd upon Reading the humble Petition
of the sd. Robert Hadwen SettingforthMr. President was Pleased to
declare the Apprehended the Petrs. Misbehaviour proceeded more from
Ignorance then inten [..] & was willing for his own part to forgive him And
Sevl. of the Comittee here present also declareing they were willing to the Accept the
sd. Petrs. said Submission He was reprimanded by Mr. President & Admonished
to take more Care of his behaviour for the future.

A Motion being made That the Thanks of this Court be given to Mr. President
and the Comittee of this House for the great care & Pains He & they have taken in
Examining into the late Riots comitted by the Apprentices of this Hospital and the
Regulations they have Drawn up for the behaviour of the Artsmasters & their
Apprentices & of the Beadles to prevent the like disorders for the future It was
Unanimously Order'd & done Accordingly.

Upon Reading an Order of Court the 22d. of June 1716 as follows Vizt.That
all Petitions for Artsmasters for the future be referr'd to the Consideration of the Comittees
of this House Same Convenient time before any Election of Artsmasters be Appointed
that the Comittee may Enquire after the Petrs and Report to the Court what Characters
they hear of them And that an Advertisment be Published before any Artsmasters
are alives onIt is now Orderd the same be received with this Addition that
the Advertisement be published 14 days at least before the Election of an Artsmasters

Orderd that it be referr'd to the Comittee of this House to consider what wou'd be
a Proper time to be Limitted for filling up the Vacancy of an ArtsmasterAnd to
enquire how many Apprentices each Artsmaster now has & how many he ought to
have According to the convenience of his Appartment And how the Number of Apprentices
in this Hospital has happen'd to be diminished.

Order'd that the Comittee of this House do from time to time as often as
they shall think proper Visit the Artsmasters Appartments & Report to the
Court in what Condition they find the same with their Opinion thereupon.
