The Examination of Priscilla Puttnam< no role > aged about 52 Years
Lodging in the Parish of St. Clement Danes in the County
of Middx Taken the 11th. Day of July 1740 Who upon
her Oath saith that upwards of 30 Years ago she was paid
out to One Mrs. Monier Clear Starcher in the Parish of St.
Martin in the Fields in the Liberty of Westmr . as a Day
Apprentice for the space of four Years but yt. During
all yt. time she Lodged & boarded with her Mother who
then lived in Exeter Street in the Parish of St. Paul Cove [..]
Garden in the Liberty of Westmr . And this Examint. further
saith yt. she hath not since yt. time Rented £10 a Year
Paid Parish Taxes lived with any Person as a Yearly
hired Servt. for the Space of One Year or otherwise
gained a Settlemt. in any other Place to her knowledge
or beleife & being Poor is not able to maintaine
herselfe
