Minutes Read & Approved, Except as to the Houses in St: Thomas Parish
in Possion of Mr. James Blackwell< no role > & Mr. Holliday part of the Houses late
in Lease to Mr: Beckingham As to which Two Houses Mr. John
Blackwell
< no role > Brother of the sd. James now Agreed with the Comittee
for A Loose thereof to be Granted to him the sd. John Blackwell< no role >
For 21: Years from Xt:mas. next at £10: P Ann Tax Free;
He is to Pay, £140: for A Fine, whereof £52:10s: was now paid
down, And the Remainder is to be paid within a Month He is at
his own Charge to Cause the Houses to be Insure & agt: Fire within
6 Months. And is forthwith to Cause the Foundacons & Fronts
of the sd. Houses to be well & Substantially Repaired And also
the Floors to be new Laid where wanting, And all other parts
to be sufficiently Amended & Repaired; He is to came the Gutter
running through the Shop in the Occupacon of his Brother for
Carrying the water from the Houses lying behind there to be New
Laid & made Wider Or to procure the same to be done by the
Inhabitants who have the Benefitt of that Watercourse And as to
Mr Holliday & his Wife , Tennts: of part of the Premisses Mr. Black [..]
Agrees to Lett them enjoy as much Accomodacon as conveniently
may be during the time of the Reparacon of the Foundacons &
Fronts of the sd. Five Houses which he is presently to Goe about;
And to Give them a Reasonable time for Providing themselves
with Another House, And if any Differences arises between him
& them to Refer it to Mr. Trear And he Agreed & That The full
Improved Rent of £30: P Ann shall be paid by him to Xt:mas
next, He being to Receive the Rent of Mr. Holliday for that part
which he holds The Hospitall is to Pay the Workmen for what is
already done towards the Repaires of the sd. Houses:
