directions they or any of them had given for the repairs of
Chertsea or Brentford Bridge , All which the Said Committee
Submitt to the Judgment of this Court, Now upon reading the
aforesaid Report This Court doth agree to the same, And Doth
Resolve that the said Bridge be rebuilt with bricks and Stone
according to the aforesaid plan mentioned in the said Report,
which this Court doth approve of, And that the said plan and the
explanation thereof be left with Mr. Thomas Northcote< no role >
Housekeeper of Hicks hall , And doth Order that Notice be
printed in the Daily Advertiser which is to come out on
Saturday the 24th Tuesday the 27th. Wednesday the 28th. and
Thursday the 29th. days of May instant, and also in the
London Evening post which is to come out on the said 24th, 27th.
& 29th. days of the Same month, that Such Artificers as are
willing to contract for building the said Bridge may have
recourse to and See the aforesaid plan at Hicks hall , and bring or
Send ready Sealed up their proposalls for building the said Bridge
according to Such plan to Mr. Northcote at Hicks hall on or
before the fourth day of June next that the Same be laid before
his Majesty's Justices of the peace in this behalf appointed to
meet at Hicks hall on Thursday the fifth day of the Same month
of June next at Nine of the clock in the forenoon to consider of Such
proposalls, And that Such Artificers as Shall contract and build
the Said Bridge Shall be punctually paid, And It is hereby
recomended & referred unto the Committee aforesaid (to wit)

willing to be present on this occasion (whom this Court doth add
unto & appoint to be the Said Committee) or any seven of the
said Justices of the peace to meet at Hicks hall aforesaid on the said

forenoon to receive and consider of Such proposalls as may be
then laid before them for building the Said Bridge, And this Court
doth hereby authorize and empower the said Committee of
Justices or any Seven of them to contract with or take or
