and the quantity is computed to be about thirty four Square and
an half, - And that the Shed at the entrance of the outward
gate is fallen downe, and out ought to be rebuilt, - And that
the Fence which encloses the prison yard from the Keeper's
house, being of Wood work in great decay they conceive that
Such Wooden fence ought to be taken away, and brick wall
erected instead thereof Which will be more dureable and of a
lesser expence than a new fence of timber, and Some of the
old timber may be used in the other repaires, - And they find
that the leaden gutters are crackt in many places & very
defective, and ought to be changed, and new gutters laid in
their Stead at the time of doeing the new tyleing, - And that
several new blocks & beetles are wanting and many of the
old ones necessary to be repaired, and that Several other repaires
are wanting, as paveing in the cellars, holes & decays in the
Cielings in Several places, and also in the floors, the Window
Cills in the Gallery, and the girder over the Gallery, and in
several other particulars, which they conceive must be entrusted
to the care & honesty of the Workmen in performing thereof
by days works, and cannot be reduced to any certainty as to the
expence till finished, Now upon reading the Said Report This
Court doth Order that the Same be confirmed, And doth recomend
it to the aforesaid Committee (to wit) Thomas Lane< no role > Nicholas

them to meet again on Thursday the first day of May next
at Nine of the Clock in the forenoon at the Red Lyon Coffee house
in Red Lyon Street Clerkenwell , In order to go from thence to
the said Prison, and take a view thereof, and of the dwelling
house and premisses aforesaid, and also to give directions
relateing to the repairing of the Same or to make any
further Report they shall find necessary to be made
concerning the repaires to be done thereto or concerning
any other matter above mentioned unto the Court of the next
General Session of the Peace for this County on the County
day of the same sessions, And Notice of the aforesaid Meetings
is to be given to all the Gentlemen of the said Committee.
