The Information of Samuel Hooton< no role > of Saint
Anns Court Brass founder who being duly sworn
upon his Oath saith that on the 24th Day of November
Instant about Eleven O'clock in the Evening as he
was going through saint Martins Court towards
Cranbourne Alley with a fire Iron he was
hustled by a Number of People who damned
him for carrying such a Thing upon his Shoulders
at that time of Night that a Gentleman who this
Informant does not knowdesireadvised him &
not to take any Notice of them but go home as
fast as he could which this Informant thanked
him for and was making the best of his way, when
a Man run against him and Damned him
for carrying such an Iron when Immediately
several other Men-came round him and this
Informant Instantly missed his Watch that he
saw the Prisoner John Mackintosh< no role > close on his
left side that on his saying to the Watchman
Oh: I have last my Watch "the Prisoner was
secured by the Watchman and taken to the Watch House
