The Information of Hugh Mc. Coy< no role > N.S Nicholas Court Rosemary
lane in the Parish of Saint Mary White Chapel in the said County Labourer Catherine< no role >
his Wife and Thomas Brown< no role > of Spices Gardens in the Parish of Saint George Middlesex
in the said County Labour Taken on Oath before us John Staples< no role > Esqr. and Herbert Mayo< no role > Clark ate of his
Majestys Justices of the Peace in and for the said County this Eleventh day of December
1788 who say and first the said Hugh Mc. Coy for himself Saith that about Eight o'Clock
last night he went to bed pulled off the Jacket two Waistcoats one pair of Creeches
and Trouser Produce and put them upon a Chair near to his bed that Just before he
went to Bed he saw the Coat and Hat produced that when he Awoke this Morning
he found his said Cloths had been Taken away that the Cloths are his property and
one of the value of Six Shillings And the said Catherine Mc. Coy for herself Saith
that about Ten o'Clock last Night she went out of her Room leaving the door
upon the Latch that she returned about Eleven o'Clock and found the door open
but not Suspecting any thing she went to bed and did not miss the Cloths produced till this
morning Thomas Brown< no role > for himself Saith that about half an hour past Ten
o'Clock last Night he Stoped the person present (who Says his Name is John
Corrections) in Rosemary Lane with the Cloths Produced that said Cornelious said
the Cloths were his fathers Property that he was going to take them to Happing

John Cornelius< no role > says he last night about the hour of Tea
had the Apparell abovementioned produced given to him
by a Young man in Rosemary Lane to year to Mr. Stoner
a pawnbroker and That he would meet him and if say person
asked him where he had them to say he had them from
his father

Taken declared to be the Smith and refused to sign it
