On the Prosecution of
Snowden for Felony

George Evan< no role > 's late of No 169 High Hoblborn in the County of
Middlesex Glayer and Painter the Defendant above
named maketh Oath that he this Deponent was
committed to his Majestys Prison of Newgate by Mr.
Justice Walker on Monday last the Eighth day of December
Instant for stealing out of the Shjop of the prosecutor
above named Two Handkerchiefs And this Deponent
Further Saith that he is informed and verily believes her
cannot with safty go to trial at this present Session's
without the Evidence of Charle's Evan's of High Holborn
aforesaid who is gone to Liverpool and who had as this deponent believes taken a peace in the Stage Coach before this Deponent was taken in Custody and who is a very
Material and necessary witness for and on behalf of
this Deponent but this Deponent further say's that the said Charle's
Evan's will as this Deponent verily believes Attend
and give Evidence in this Honourable Court on behalf
of this Deponent at the next Session untill which time
this Deponent Humbly pray this Honourable Court to
put off the Trial of this Deponent
