The several Informations of Ann Walker< no role >
and George Meacham< no role > Taken the 30th: day of April
1784 before us David Walker< no role > and Husband Messiter
Esquires Two of his Majestys Justices of the peace
for the said County

And first the said Ann Walker< no role > for herself Saith
That She is a Housekeeper and lives in Southampton
Street Covent Garden That on Monday last her
House was Entered and Robbed of the following Articles
(Vizt.) "5 Linnen Shifts 2 Cotton Gowns 1 Linen Bed
Gown 1 Cotton Shirt One Stuff Skirt One Counterpane
One Bed Cover 2 Table Cloths One Napkin and a
Knife a Mahogany Knife Case And several Knives
and forks and a Silver Strainer" which are all her property
That She does not know who were the person or Persons
who Stole the same but that she went up Stairs about 3 o Clock
in the afternoon and in the three pair of Stairs from Room
she found a Draw in a Chest of Drawers broke open and
some of the above mentioned things taken away That
the Knife Case, Knives and forks, and Napkins now produced
are her property

And this Informant George Meacham< no role > for
himself Saith That about the hour of 2 o Clock [..] in
the afternoon of Monday he Stop't one Robert Jones< no role >
whom he knew to be a person of Suspicion Character
and who had in his Possession the Makogany Knife Case
and Kinves now produced and Suspecting the same to
have been Stolen he took him into Custody

Taken and Sworn the day
and Year aforesaid before Us}
