The Information of Richard Henshaw< no role > and James
Grosett
< no role > taken before me this 27th.. day of April
1784.

Who being on Oath say and first Richard Henshaw< no role > says
that on the 23rd. Day of June 1783, he issued to William Robertson< no role >
now present a Victualling Bill for the Payment of £642.14.7.
and which Bill this Informant delivered to the Said Wm. Robertson< no role >
That the Amount of said Bill was the Balance of an Account
due to Mr. Gambold late Purser of His Majesty's Ship Superbe
in which Account the Sum of £661.7.1½ was allowed by
Virtue of the Several Articles mentioned in an Order now produced
purporting to be the Order of Sir Edwd. Hughes to Mr. Gambold
Purser
< no role > of the Superbe and a Receipt Indorsed thereon purporting
to be the Receipt of James Rooke< no role > Lieut Colonel to the said
Mr. Gambold. And the said James Grosett< no role > says that he was on
Board the Superbe off Gorce from the 9th. of May 1779 to the 12th.. of
May 1779, during which time He was first Clerk to Mr. Moore
Secretary to Sir Edwd. Hughes< no role > . That the Body of an Order now produced
purporting to be the Order of Sr. Edwd. Hughes on Mr. Gambold Purser< no role >
of said Ship for Provisions Etc for the Use of the Garrison of
Gorce and the Body of a Receipt Indorced thereon purporting
to be the Receipt of Jas. Rooke Lieut Colonel to the Said Mr. Gambold
for the said Provisions, were not, nor were either of them wrote
by the said Mr. Moore or either of his Clerks and this Informant
believes that the Hame Edwd. Hughes signed to the said Order
is not the Hand Writing of Sir Edwd. Hughes< no role >
