Sarah Davenport< no role > wife of John Davenport< no role > a Soldier
maketh oath That her said husband has been absent from her for
many Years and She doth not know nor Can Setforth whether he be now
dead or living nor where his Place of Residence is That divers
Years ago & Previous to her Marriage with the Said Davenport
She was lawfully married to one Edward Webb< no role > Since deced Who (as
She has been Credibly informed & verily believes) did before his
marriage with her and when a Single man live as a hired Servant
by the Year with one Mr Hyson in the Parish of Burwell in the
County of Cambridge and Continue in Such Service for a year and
upwards & by means thereof as She is advised gained a legal
Settlement there That to her knowledge or belief her said first
husband after his Servitude as aforesaid did not live as a hired Servt.
for a Year nor rent a house of Ten Pounds a year or upwards nor
Serve any Parish offices nor Pay any Poors Rates or Kings
Taxes nor do any Act to gain a Subsequent Settlement.
