been informed by his Mother (and which Information this
Depont. believes to be true)That he this Depont. was born
a Bastard in King Street in the Parish of Saint Matthew
Bethnal Green in the County of Middlesex And this Depont
Saith That he was never bound an Apprentice nor ever lived
as a hired Servant for a Year nor Rented a house of Ten
Pounds a Year nor ever Served any Parish office or Paid
any Poors Rates or Kings Taxes nor to his knowledge or
belief ever and any Act to gain a Settlement Since his Birth
