Examination TextElizabeth Dykes aged 47 years and upwards destitute of lodging upon her oath saith she is the widow of William Dykes (who has been dead eight years) to whom she was married at Covent Garden Church 36 years ago, that he was a Tyre Smith by trade and was bound an apprentice for seven years to Mr Henry Clibery, Tyre Smith who lived the corner of the White Hart Inn in Long Acre in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields and there served all his time out which expired about 37 years ago, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes or was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since, nor hath she this Examinant since her said husband's death. Sworn the seventh Day of November 1749 Daniel Gach.
