Examination TextAnn Dale aged about 54 years lodging at Mr Hinge's in upper John Street near Golden Square upon her oath saith that she is the wife of Adam Dale (who has been gone from her near seven years) to whom she was married in Yorkshire 30 years ago, that he lived in and rented a house in St Martin's Court in the Parish of St Martin the Fields for the space of 16 years at the yearly rent of 16 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same about eight years and a half ago and then removed into Broad Court in the said Court [sic] and there lived in and rented an apartment for the space of two years longer at the yearly rent of 16 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same about six years and a half ago and never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year or paid any parish taxes since, that she has one child living by her said husband to wit Mary aged 23 years now living with Mr Balack, Linnen Draper in the Strand in the Parish aforesaid. Sworn the seventh Day of November 1749 before Daniel Gach.
