Examination TextStephen Overy aged about 45 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon his oath saith that he is a Cabinet Maker by trade, and that he was bound an apprentice by indenture for seven years to Samuel Overy, his Father, a Cabinet Maker who lived in that part of Newport Street in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields and there served all his time out which expired about 23 years ago, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes or was a yearly hired servant since, that he was married to his present wife Sarah at the Fleet about 17 months ago. Sworn the seventh Day of December 1749 before James Fraser.
