Examination Text | Martha Hunt aged 42 years lodging in the George Inn Yard in Hedge Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the widow of George Hunt, that since his death having no child living she was a yearly hired servant to Mr John Connor a Taylor who then lived in Durham Yard in the Strand in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of two years and four months at the yearly wages of 4 pounds 10 shillings diet and lodging, quitted the same between three and four years ago, that she never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes or was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the seventh Day of November 1749 before James Fraser. |
