Examination TextSamuel Brown2 aged about 51 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon his oath saith that he is a Sadler by trade, and that he was bound an apprentice by an indenture for seven years to Mr Adam Mackleney a Sadler near Charing Cross in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid and there served five years and then his said Master died and he this Examinant was at large which is about 30 years ago, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes or was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since, that he was passed from the Parish of St Leonard Shoreditch. Taken in the workhouse the 13th Day of December 1749.
