| Examination Text | Tobias Joyce aged 67 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the ffields passed from the Parish of St Giles in the ffields in the County of Middlesex upon his oath saith that he is a Smith by trade, that he lived in and rented an house near Leg Alley in Long Acre in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid for the space of 19 years at the yearly rent of 20 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same about two years ago, that he hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes since. Sworn the 10th day of November 1762 before Benjamin Cox. |
