Examination TextWinifred Jones aged 30 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St Giles in the Fields in the County of Middlesex upon her oath saith that she never was married nor bound an apprentice kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes, that she was a yearly hired servant to Mr Crombie a Victualler in Salisbury Street in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid for the space of 14 months at the yearly wages of 3 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same about nine years ago, that she hath not been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the 10th day of November 1762 before Benjamin Cox.
