Examination Text | Eleanor Cole aged 57 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the wife of John Cole (gone from her), that her said husband is a Button Maker by trade and lived in and rented an house in Thackhams Court in the said Parish for the space of one year and upwards at 19 pounds per annum besides taxes, that he quitted the same about 19 years ago and hath done no act to gain a subsequent settlement to this Examinant's knowledge. Taken in the workhouse the [blank] Day of January 1762. |
