Examination TextMary Burn aged 41 years and upwards lodging at Mr Warren's a Pattern Maker in Cross Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her saith that she is the wife of Henry Burn (now ill in Middlesex Hospital) to whom she was married at the Parish Church of St. George Bloomsbury about 15 years ago, that her said husband is a Bricklayer by trade and lived in and rented an house in Off Alley in the Parish aforesaid for the space of five years and three quarters of a year at the yearly rent of 18 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same about eight years ago, that her husband hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes since, that she hath two children by her said husband to wit Christopher aged six years and upwards and John aged five years and upwards both now with this Examinant. Sworn the fifth day of December 1770 before Peter Planck.
