Examination TextThe Examination of Sarah Morris taken this 20th Day of November in the year 1776. This Examinant on her oath saith that she is 27 years of age, that she never was married, that she was in the month of September in the year 1775 delivered at the house of Mr Piggs in Fullers Court in East Smith in the Parish of St Botolph without Aldgate in the County of Middlesex of a female bastard child (since christened Margaret) yet living and is become chargeable says to the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields, and that Anthony Tearney (late a Lamplighter) but now pressed into his Majesty's Sea Service did beget on her body the said female bastard child, and that he the said Anthony Tearney is the true and only father thereof and no man else. Sworn the 20th Day of November 1776 before John Goodchild, J. King. Another (61, 274) Bastard.
