Examination Text | Elizabeth Walker aged 18 years and upwards passed from the Parish of St. James at Clerkenwell in the County of Middlesex to the Parish of St Martin in the Fields in the same county upon her oath saith, that she never was married, that she was bound an apprentice to Thomas Rogers in Broad Court in the said Parish of St Martin for the term of five years and there served her said master for the space of 14 months and then her mistress (wife of the said Thomas Rogers) died and her Master went away and she this Examinant was at large which is about seven years ago, that she hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since.
