Examination TextThe Examination of Ann Peterson passed as a Vagrant from the Parish of St Andrew in the City of Worcester to the Parish of St Martin in the Fields taken this 12th Day of November 1776. This Examinant on her oath saith that she is 42 years of age, that she is the wife of John Hawell Peterson (gone from her) to whom she was married at the Parish Church of St. Mary le Strand the 14th January in the year 1760, that her said husband is a Book Binder by trade and lived in and rented an house in Exchange Court in the Strand in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of 10 years and upwards at the yearly rent of 12 pounds 14 shillings besides taxes, quitted the same about five or six years ago, that her said husband hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes since, that she hath two children by her said husband to wit John aged about 11 years and Richard aged about 21 weeks both now with this Examinant. Sworn the then year above written before John Hale.
