Examination TextSarah Gibson aged about 40 years lodging at Mr Taylor's a Baker opposite Seymour Court in Chandos Street in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the widow of Joseph Gibson (who died the 31st May last) to whom she was married at the Church in the Little Minories about 16 years ago, that her said husband was a Carpenter and Coffin maker by trade and lived in and rented an house in Charles Court in the Strand in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of four years at the yearly rent of 19 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same about one year and an half ago, that her said husband never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes after, that she this Examinant hath five children by her said husband to wit Robert bound an apprentice, Margaret aged eight years and upwards, Thomas aged six years and upwards, John aged four years and Joseph aged near eight months, the four last named children now with this Examinant. Sworn the 26th Day of June 1776 before J. King.
