Examination TextMargaret Conner aged about 88 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the widow of James Conner, who died about 20 years ago to whom she was married at the French Ambassador's Chapel Soho Square about 60 years ago, that her said husband was a Taylor by trade and lived in and rented an house facing Green Street in Castle Street in the Parish aforesaid for 40 years at the yearly rent of 13 pounds besides taxes and there died in the occupation of the said house, that she this Examinant hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since the death of her said husband. Sworn the [blank] Day of June 1776 before [blank].
