Examination TextCatherine Dawson aged 52 years lodging in a Cellar under the house of Mr James in Drury Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the widow of John Dawson (who died about 20 years ago) to whom she was married at the Fleet in the year 1740, that since the death of her said husband (having no child living) she this examinant was a yearly hired servant to Mr Vaughan a Victualler in Dukes Court in the Parish aforesaid for the space of eight years at the yearly wages of 6 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same service about 12 years ago, that she hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the 13th Day of February 1776 before Thomas Bullard.
