Examination TextThe Examination of Ann Williams lodging at Mr Roger's a Coal Shed in Exeter Street in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields taken this [blank] Day of [blank] 1776. This Examinant on her oath saith that she is 67 years of age, that she is the widow of Edward Williams who died about 27 years ago to whom she was married at the ffleet the 21st of December about 50 years ago, that her said husband was bound an apprentice by an indenture for seven years to Mrs Baker a Baker in Baker's Alley in the Strand in the Parish aforesaid, there and the corner of Baker's Alley aforesaid he her said husband served all the said term out as she this Examinant hath been informed and verily believes, that he her said husband never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together after the Expiration of of his said apprenticeship, nor hath she this Examinant kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since the death of her said husband.
