Examination TextMary Wilson aged about 60 years lodging at Mrs McDonalds a Linnen Draper in Russell Court in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the widow of John Wilson (who died eight years ago) to whom she was married at the city of Edinburgh about 30 years ago, that her said husband was a Black smith by trade and lived in and rented an house the corner of Plum Tree Street in the Parish of St George Bloomsbury in the County of Middlesex for the space of five years and upwards at a yearly rent of 26 pounds besides taxes, and that her said husband died in the occupation of the said house, and that she this Examinant continued in and rented the said house for the space of six months after the death of her said husband, that she hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since she quitted the aforesaid house. Sworn the 13th Day of February 1776 before J. Truelove, Thomas Bullard.
