Examination TextHannah Felton aged about 32 years now a Servant at Ponsens Coffee house in Cecill Court St Martins Lane in the Parish of St Martin inthe Fields Saith she was never married and also Saith that Elizabeth Felton als Inglethorp pass'd from the Parish of St Anne Westminster s Female bastard Child which was born of this Examt Body at the House of one Mrs Fellin in Cecill Court in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid on the third Day of March in the Year 1729 And further Saith that one Walter Inglethorp now a footman to his Grace the Duke of Kentin St James's Square had carnall Knowledge of her Body at the said Duke's Country Seat in Bedforddhire (they being fellow Servts there) about a Year and nine Months agoe in this Examts Lodging Room up two Pair of Stairs there and severall time afterwards at one of which times he begat on her Body the said ffemale Bastard Child and that he said Walter Inglethorp is the true and only Father thereof and no Man else.
