Examination TextMary Read aged 40 Years now Lodging at Kingston abt Saith she is the widow of John Read who died abt 3 months ago to whom she was married at St Martins Church abt 11 years agoe Saith she was Trade never an Apprentice was a yearly hired Servant to ONe Mr Keate a Banker near Hungerford Markett in the Strand whom he served about 9 years had £8 Pr Ann Wages Diet and Lodging and left the said service abt 10 Years agoe and never was a yearly hired Servt Since or rented £10 Pr Ann And she this Depont further saith that she was a fellow Servant with her said Husband in the said Mr Keats ffamily abt two Years before Marriage that she hath two Children Vizt Mary aged 5 Years and ann half a year Jurat 24 die Feb 1730 Coram Wm Gore The mark of ye sd Mary Read Nt this Woman hath sworn false her Settlemt is in St George Hannover
