Examination Text | Mary Fowler aged 68 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields saith that she is the widow of Thomas Fowler (who died above 30 years ago) to whom she was married at Paddington about one month before he died, that since his death she was a yearly hired servant to one Mr Morrison in Dukes Court in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of 13 years at 4 pounds 5 shillings and 5 pounds 10 shillings per ann., quitted the same about 20 years ago and never kept house of or rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant afterwards. Sworn [the 18th Day of December 1744]. |
