| Examination Text | Catherine Sutton aged 56 saith she lay last night at one Mr Grace in Vinegar Yard in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields, saith she is the widow of Daniel Sutton (who died about 12 years ago), that since his death she was a yearly hired servant at the sign of the Catherine Wheel in Drury Lane in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields (but does not know the person's name) for one whole year at 3 pounds per ann. diet and lodging, quitted six years ago and never kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes or was a yearly hired servant afterwards. Sworn the 23rd Day of January 1745 before James Fraser. |
