Examination Text | Ann Priest aged 29 years saith she is the wife of Josiah (gone from her about two weeks) to whom she was married at the Hand and Pen in the Fleet about 11 years ago, that he was a Water Gilder by trade and was bound apprentice by indenture for the space of seven years to one Mr Wilder, a Water Gilder in St Martin's Court in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields and there served all his said time which expired about 12 years and never kept house of or rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes or was a yearly hired servant, that she hath one child by him now living to wit Richard aged two years and [an] half now with her this Examinant. Sworn the sixth day of November 1744 before James Fraser. |
