This Indenture Wittnesseth That Edward Clarke< no role > & Hugh Mills< no role > Churchwardens
William Bine< no role > Charles Prattin< no role > William Dodd< no role > & Edward Walter< no role > Overseers of the poore
of the parish of St. Clement Danes in the County of Midd with the assent of Hugh
Chamberlen & Leonard Hancock of Esqrs . Justices of the peace for the said County & for the
Citty & Liberty of Westmr . according to the Statute in that case made & Pvided have
putt Richard Conder a poore parish Child an Apprentice to Christopher Jobson< no role >
Victualler & with him to dwell & Serve after the manner of an Apprentice from
the day of the date hereof untill the full end & terme of Eight yeares from thence
next ensueing & fully to be compleate & ended Dureing all which said terme wee the
said Churchwardens & Overseers of the poore Doe order & appointe (with the assent
aforesaid) that the said apprentice well & faithfully shall serve his sd Mar. his secretts
keepe his comands lawfull & honest every where gladly doe hurt to his sd Mar he shall
not doe nor cause it to be done of others but prvent it if he may or else from time to
time admonish him thereof the goods of his Sd Mar. he shall not wast nor them to any
body lend without his consent neither from his Service by day or night shall not
absent himself Taverns or Alehouses he shall not frequent At Cards dire or any
other unlawfull game he shall not play whereby his said Mar. may receive
any prsudice Formcacon he shall not comitt Matrimony dureing the said terme
he shall not contract but in all things as a good & faithfull servant ought to
doe shall behave himself towards his said Mar. & all his dureing the said terme
And the said Christopher Jobson< no role > shall teach & instruct his said apprentice the Art or
trades of Victualler which he now useth according to his best Skill & knowledge
And shall give to & pvide for his said Apprentice Sufficient meale drink
washing lodging apparrell linnen & all other necessaryes meet & conveinent
for such an Apprentice dureing the said terme And for the true performance
of all the Articles in frome aforesaid to be kept the said Pties to these prsent
Indertures bind themselves each to other by these prsents In witnesse whereof
the sd Pties to these prsent Indentures have interchangeably Sett their hands &
Seales the thirtieth day of November in the Fifth yeare of the reigne
of King William & Queene Mary over England Etc Annoqz Dui 1693
