[..] an I quisition taken on
the Body of a New born Male Infant born of
the Body of a Woman unknown.

. on his Oath saith that
lost Saturday night about nine be was sent
for to come to Mr. Pikes a Distiller
, and when
Dept. came there he informed Dept. that a Child
was lying in the Street, in the Haymarket
,
that he with Mr Robert Goodman< no role >
Went to
the Place where the child lay, and found a great
mob about the Infant, says some body among
the Mobliftinglifted the corner of is coarse
Cloth and of an [..] aer finer Cloth which were
about the child, and dept. then saw that there
was a child therein, and dirt upon one of its Arms
says that finding the Child to lay in St. James's
Parish
Dept. & Mr Goodman, attended a Woman
unknown, to St. James's work House
whom they
employed to carry the child thither, says he
did not examine the Child, but the Woman who
brough the child to the Work house opened it
to the Matron.

, last
Saturday night betwixt nine and ten informed
Deponent that a Child lay in the Haymarket
about the Middle, Whereupon Dept. went there,
and found a great broad of people, and Mr. Goodman
and Mr. Foster in the Nudot, says somebody, he
believes Mr. Goodman unfolded the cloths in which
the Child was wraps up, and Dept. then discovered a
New born child in it, says he believes it was dead, but
made no strict Examination of the Child
