. on his Oath Saith that last
Saturday evening between nine and ten Mr. Foster
being then with Dept. on their being informed that
an Infant was dropt in the sheet in the Haymarket
Dept. together with Mr. Foster went to that place
and found a great Number of People about the
Child and a Boy standing with a lightened Candle, says there
was a piece of white fine Cloth round the Loins of
the Child and a piece of Coarse Cloth, laid under its
Shoulder and covered over its Face, Says he turned
the Coarse Cloth back and discovered a New born
Infant, which he is positive was dead, says he
observed. some dirt on the right Arm, and believes
somebody had had on it, and as the coarse Cloth
was not dirty that the same might have been,
put about the child afterwards. says he got a Basket
Woman to carry the Child to the Work house and
he and Mr. Foster went thither with her, says
he observed at the Workhouse that the Child was
a Male, but did not observe andy stoot in the
Cloth.

on her Bath saith that on Saturday night
on hearing a new born Child was in the Street in the Haymarket
She went there, and found a great Many people
about it, says soon after Mr. Goodman and another
Parish Officer came, and Dept. by their directions
carried the child to the Work house, they going
along with her, says when she came to the Work
house she discovered theat the Infant was a Boy
and that the child was wraps in a Coarse & fine
Cloth, says there was dirt an one Arm, and that
she mode no further Observations about it.
