The Lord Mayor being present order'd
the Clerk to attend the Governors with the Subscription
Book which was accordingly done

And there was Subscribed as Follows Vizt.

Mr. Robert Hilton< no role > 50..-
Mr. Peter Copeland< no role > 50..-
Mr. John Baker< no role > 50..-

The Lord Mayor acquainted this
Court that the Principal Design of calling it was To
choose a President in the room of George Arnold< no role > Esqr .
Alderman decd.

Then the Court proceeded to Elect a
President in the room of the said George Arnold Esq.

And it being moved & the Question
put that Sr. Joseph Hankey< no role > Knt . & Alderman be
chosen President

Sr. Joseph Hankey Knt.
Chosen President


The said Sr. Joseph Hankey was
Unanimously elected to be President of this Hospital
in the room of George Arnold Esqr. Alderman decd.

Ordered that the Treasurer, John
Copeland
< no role > Esqr . Mr. John Hayward< no role > & Thomas Martin< no role > Esq
be a Committee to wait on the said Sr. Joseph Hankey
and acquaint him with his Election wand desire
him to accept of the said Office
