this being the First Court after his Election was Pleased to
Address the Court in the following Terms

to the Genl. Court

I am extremely sensible of the Honour you
have done me, in electing me President of this Hospital;
an Honour I esteem the more as it has been conferred upon
me by your unanimous Voice. As far as my Influence ex-
tends, I shall always promote the Interest of this noble
Charity, and shall ever entertain a due Esteem for the
worthy Governors of the Hospital

Then the Minutes of the last General Court
held the 10th. inst were read and Approved

The Report of the Grand Committee of their
Proceedings since the last Annual General Court held the
18th. of July 1750 was read and is as follows Vizt.
