The Committee of Governors of this Hospital constituted by an Order of the last General
Court of Governors thereof holden the Tenth day of December last Ano. Din 1683
Authorized to inspect the State of this Hospital, and to Examine and Audit the Accompts
thereof, and Generally to do and Execute all and every Such matters and things
relating to the Same, as they Should thinke meet, for the Service & benefitt of the
Said Hospital, Haveing, pursuant to the Said Order, Reported to this Court their
proceedings in the prmisses, This Court Conserved in Opinion with the Committee
in every Pticular thereof Confirmed what the Said Committee had done
therein, And haveing thanked the Committee for the great paines and care they
had taker to promote the pious Ends of that Royal Bounty which founded
this Hospital, accordingly Order'd Resolved & agreed as followeth (Vizt)

Druggs


That from Michaelmas next this House shall at the charge thereof provide all
Druggs, Herbs, and other things, needfull for the Composicon of all Physick to be
Administered to the Patients of this Hospital and will allow the Apothecary Fifty
pounds P Annu, payable quarterly by equall porcons, and no more, for his
paines in Compounding the Same.

Allowance of beer
Increased


That from the first day of June, to the first day of September in every
yeare, the customary allowance of Beer to the Patients of this House, be Encreased
one full third part, and that accordingly, dureing that Space of time the Butler
of this House Shall attend them therewith three times aday.

Fluxing Wards


That for the better and move Speedy affecting the cure of old and
inveterate Sores and Ulcers (whether Occasioned by the Fowle Disease or
otherwise) Two Wards to wit one for oath Sex be sett apart and with all
convenient Speed fitted for the fluxing Such of the Patients of this House
as shall Stand in need of that Operation, as also that two Dyett drinke
Wards, with hot houses, be forthwith provided; But that none of the
Patients of this House shall be fluxed without the Advice of ye Physitians

Elizabeth Robertcock< no role > the Sister of Queens Ward being a Pson of
incorrigible ill behaviour and unfitt for the Employment is displaced
and Ordered to depart the House within a weeke And Elizabeth Bolton< no role >
is appointed Sister of that Ward in her Stead.

The Committee haveing Pticularly reported to this Court as followeth (Vizt.)
that whereas heretofore by Indenture bearing date the Seventh day of September
Ano: Din 1654, a lease was made by the Governors of this Hospital, to one William,
Latham
< no role > , of certaine Tenements therein Pticularly described Scituate in
the Pish of St Thomas in Southwarke To hold for a Terme of Forty one years
therein limitted which be meane Conveyances is Since Vested in Mr John Bland< no role >
Subject neverthelesse to a lease made (before the Said Mr Bland purchased the
prmisses) to one Lyonel So Oyer Deceased of all that Messuage with the apptemues
part of the pmisses as is now in the Occupacon of Mr John Watts< no role > for all the terme
to come by the said Originall Indenture of Lease granted (Except one quarter
of a yeare or thereabouts) under the rent of Forty Shillings or more P Annu
And whereas a Small peece of ground about 14 foot in breadth lyes Betweene
Pcell of the Said demised prmisses and other ground of the said Hospital
Comonly made use of for a burying place, from which it is or lately was
divided by a pale, The Committee (after a View by them had of the prmisses
came to the following agreement with the Said Mr Bland concerning the Same,
to witt, that the Said Mr Bland his Executed or Admstrator shall forthwith
pay Fourscore pounds to this Hospital, and grant and assigne over to Such
Pson or Psons as the Governors of this Hospital shall nominate, in trust
for this Hospital, all the Said Messuage, with the applenances in the Occupacon
of the said Mr Watts, and the Said went Issueing out thereof as aforesaid
and all his Said Terme interest and revercon in the Same with fitting
Covenants for Secureing the Enjoyment thereof accordingly free
